The TCM documentary on Brando was a treasure trove of information on Marlon Brando and a great viewing experience.
It just reinforced what an impact Brando had on Cinema, an impact like no one before or after him has had.
I mean when Pacino, Depp and a host of luminaries talk about Brando as if he was god, then us mere mortals should just accept it plain and simple.
But the great part ab0out the documentary was that it gave us a glimpse of Brando the father / grandfather, Brando on his beloved island and the Brando fooling around in home videos...
Watch it to understand how lucky we all are for the act that Brando acted and took us on a ride like none before.

I want to watch this so badly, it's one of the few things I couldn't forgive myself not taking the time and sit down before my tv set when they air it here. Promise to tell you my thoughts when that happens.
Just watched it last night. It was pretty good, and I liked the segments about his contribution to the civil rights in particular. On the other hand, it kinda let me down a little bit --I know, this is arguably the best doc about the man that I'll see in a time, but still... can't have enough. I want a 24-hour show! Maybe I should read a book on Brando as a companion piece. Peter Manso's, Richard Schickel's? What is your recommendation, KBR?
richars schikel anyday. manso comes across as very salicious...a lot of information but u cant say if its true or not...the best book is his autobio - songs my mother taught me
